What JEC World is and when the 2027 edition opens
JEC World is the leading global trade show for composite materials, their technologies and their applications. The 2027 edition runs from 2 to 4 March 2027 at the Paris Nord Villepinte exhibition centre, with around 1,400 exhibitors and some 46,000 professional visits from 94 countries across 78,000 square metres. It brings together the whole value chain and the sectors that consume it: aeronautics and space, automotive and road transport, renewable energy, construction, marine and rail. The visitor is usually an engineer, which raises the technical level of every conversation on the stand. It also means the person asking about your resin system is perfectly capable of judging how your stand itself was built, which is worth bearing in mind when choosing finishes.

Material and resin producers
Your product arrives as a roll or a drum and means nothing on its own. We build sample and demonstrator displays that pair the raw material with a finished part, with cut cross-sections mounted at handling height so an engineer can read the ply sequence and resin content without asking. Glossy carbon under plain overhead light reads as a flat grey reflection of the ceiling grid, so we light it from the side against a dark backdrop instead.
Part manufacturers and tier suppliers
You are bringing real components, sometimes large ones. We check weight, mounting and floor loading before the design is fixed, and treat a bulky part as an access and sequencing problem rather than a weight one: it goes into the hall and the structure closes around it before the aisles fill in, not the other way round. Supports let it be seen from underneath, which is usually where the interesting engineering is.
Machinery and process equipment
Your equipment needs space around it and often power. We plan clearances, services and guarding with the venue in advance so a process can be demonstrated rather than described. Anything involving resin, solvents, heat or extraction needs the organiser’s sign-off before the layout is drawn, not after: authorisation granted late means the stand gets designed twice.
Testing, software and engineering services
You have nothing to display, only expertise. We give you a strong technical graphic and seated meeting space, because your sale is a long conversation and it should not happen standing in an aisle.
A structure that lasts longer than one edition
JEC World is annual and the composites calendar includes several regional events. We build modular, reusable structures that are stored, inspected and reconfigured, so the same investment covers Paris and the smaller shows you attend during the year, with only graphics and part selection changing between them. For a supplier who exhibits three or four times a year, that is the difference between one considered build and four rushed ones.
What trips up first-time JEC World exhibitors
Composite materials behave differently on a stand than in a catalogue, and most of what goes wrong traces back to a handful of recurring decisions.
- Lighting the stand instead of lighting the samples. Overhead light turns glossy carbon into a mirror for the ceiling grid and whatever is hanging above the aisle. A raked side light and a dark backdrop show the weave instead.
- Sealing handling samples behind glass. A display case protects a part but ends the conversation before it starts; handling samples belong on a secured tray at working height, not behind acrylic.
- Bringing only finished parts, no cut sections. A painted finished part tells an engineer you can paint. A polished cross-section shows ply count, resin content and porosity in the time it takes to look.
- Treating a large part as a weight problem. It is almost always an access and sequencing problem: get the packing dimensions and handling instructions early, the weight matters less than the route it has to travel.
- Deciding on a live resin or lay-up demonstration after the layout is fixed. Authorisation for anything involving resin, solvents or heat sits with the organiser and the venue, and a late yes means the stand gets designed twice.

When does JEC World 2027 take place?

Can you display large or heavy composite parts?
Yes, once the figures are checked. We confirm the floor loading and the mounting method for each part, and design supports that hold it securely while leaving the surfaces you want examined visible.
Can visitors handle the samples?
They should, and the stand has to make it easy. We mount demonstrator parts at handling height with secure but removable fixings, because the entire argument for composites is what happens when someone lifts one.
Can you integrate a process demonstration?
Yes. We plan the power, extraction and guarding with the venue where a process has to run on the stand, and position it so visitors can watch without entering the working area.
What does your JEC World stand design and build service include?
A turnkey service: design and 3D render, manufacturing in our own workshop, transport to Villepinte, build, dismantling and technical support during the three days.
When do our parts need to be at the venue?
Before the structure closes around them, which is usually earlier than exhibitors plan for. We sequence the build with your logistics and keep the access side open until the components are in place.
Do samples or parts from outside the EU need customs paperwork?
Usually yes, typically an ATA Carnet for temporary admission. Anything shipped from within the EU travels as ordinary road freight with no customs involved; parts coming from outside the EU are the exhibitor’s responsibility to clear, and we will tell you honestly where our responsibility for that ends.
Can we run a live resin or lay-up demonstration on the stand?
Only with the organiser’s and venue’s sign-off, which covers anything involving open resin, solvents, heat or extraction. Ask before the layout is drawn: authorisation granted after the design is fixed means redesigning it.
Should we bring finished parts or cut cross-sections?
Both, but weight the display toward cut sections. A polished cross-section shows ply sequence, resin content and porosity at a glance; a finished, painted part shows only that you can paint.

Villepinte handles freight well, but a composites stand often carries parts that need lifting equipment and a scheduled slot. We coordinate the lifting and the build sequence so your components are positioned before the structure closes around them, which cannot be improvised afterwards.
