With a clear business vision and an unstoppable creative drive, he founded Contemporanea Eventi in 2006 to create singular spaces that borrow the visual language and the messages of contemporary art.

Inés Canals

With more than a decade at Contemporanea Eventi, Inés is now the company’s Deputy Director and specialises in large format, highly complex exhibition projects, particularly oversized stands and double deck builds. She works mainly at the major European trade fairs, leading international projects for clients across a range of sectors, and has also delivered projects in the United States.

Her deep knowledge of the industry lets her approach every project with a global view, from strategy and initial concept through to production and final delivery, coordinating clients, technical teams and suppliers. Analytical, decisive and demanding about detail, she is at her best on projects where size, technical complexity and logistics call for especially precise coordination.
“I studied Journalism, Advertising and Public Relations, specialised in Event Management and, years later, completed an Executive MBA. Quite a cross disciplinary background that, over time, has made a lot of sense in an industry where strategy, communication, design, management and business have to live side by side.”

“I am a building engineer and architect. After starting my career in Milan, I built an international path that took me to Bristol and then to Shanghai for six years, where I specialised in the exhibition industry. After the pandemic I moved to Barcelona, where I continue to work on international projects.”

Katia Baroni

Two decades treating every stand as a work of art
None of this is new. Gabriel Pranzini founded Contemporanea Eventi in 2006 with an idea that has not changed: every stand deserves to be treated as a work of art, not as a structure you forget the moment it comes down.
Twenty years on, the workshop is still ours: design, carpentry and installation under the same roof, with the same team following every project from start to finish, and the projects still travelling to the major European fairs. This is what has come out of it.
