Free-design stand build rules at SICUR according to IFEMA’s 2026 guide
The SICUR 2026 exhibitor guide is the latest published and sets heights, solid walls and second floors. The 2028 one does not exist yet and these rules will be confirmed. These are the four figures that matter most.

Designing a SICUR stand that demonstrates product and lasts two editions
Because the show is biennial, the stand has to perform in 2028 and be able to return afterwards. In 2026 the project was approved one month before build-up, so we settle product and structure decisions at the start.

What weighs on the budget of a SICUR stand with demos and showcases
We do not give figures without seeing your plot: the cost of a SICUR stand depends on the metres, how much product is demonstrated and how many meetings you expect. These are the six factors.
Live demos
More screens and equipment running need power and connection planned from the drawing.
Closed showcases
Delicate product is shown in lockable showcases, which add fabrication and glass.
Meeting room
Every private room adds structure and insulation, and must respect the frontage closure limit.

When is SICUR 2028?
In February 2028, with dates to be confirmed, in Halls 4, 6, 8 and 10 of IFEMA Madrid according to the Madrid agenda.
How often is SICUR held?
Every two years. IFEMA describes it as Spain’s leading international security show, with four areas, and the last edition was in 2026.
How much does a SICUR stand cost?
It depends on the plot, the demos and the rooms, so we give no figure without the plan. To orient yourself on the items, see how to calculate a trade show stand budget.
Can I build a two-floor stand?
Yes, up to 7 m in halls, with the upper floor set back 1 m. Not in the connection areas or on the sides of Halls 9 and 10.
Can I close my stand with walls?
Up to 50% of each aisle frontage. To close more, set it back 3 m and do not exceed 80% of the frontage.
When should I start designing?
With months to spare: the project is approved one month before build-up. See the steps to organise a trade show in advance.
