Everything on a ProWein stand happens around a glass
Exhibiting at ProWein 2027 means three days of pouring. The stand lives or dies on things that never appear in a render: where the bottles are stored cold, where the used glasses go, and whether your team can keep serving without the counter turning into a pile of stemware by midday.
What ProWein is and when the 2027 edition opens
ProWein is the leading international trade fair for wine and spirits, held at Messe Duesseldorf from 7 to 9 March 2027. It is strictly trade-only, gathering producers, retailers, importers, sommeliers and buyers from more than 140 countries. The range runs from premium wines and small producers to sparkling wine and Champagne, spirits, the growing no and low alcohol category and the services around the trade. Because every visitor is a professional and every stand is pouring, the difference is rarely the wine on its own: it is whether a buyer can sit down with you and taste properly. The stands that fill up are the ones where somebody can put a glass down, take notes and stay ten minutes without standing in the aisle. Everything else on the stand exists to make that ten minutes possible: the cold storage under the counter, the place the used glasses go, and the fact that nobody has to leave the plot to fetch anything.
Turnkey service for your ProWein stand
You brief us once and then deal with one person for the whole thing: the design, the joinery, the lorry and the crew that installs in Duesseldorf. That person also submits the water, waste and refrigeration requests, which the venue needs well before the build week and which are the usual reason a tasting stand arrives without a working sink.
Design
Collaborative briefing, a strategy built around your visitor and a photorealistic 3D render of your space.
Manufacturing
In-house joinery and manufacturing with premium, high-quality and sustainable materials at our Barcelona workshop.
Build & install
Transport and coordination to Messe Duesseldorf, on-site build and dismantling by our own crew, and dedicated support throughout the show.
Projects that back every stand we build
Twenty years of custom stand design across Europe, with plenty of tasting stands where the back-of-house was designed before the front, which is the only way these builds work.
What your ProWein stand needs, depending on how you sell
Four ways of selling wine at ProWein, four different stands behind the counter.
Wineries and estates
You are selling a place as much as a bottle. We use real materials from the estate where we can, and design a tasting counter with cold storage underneath, so nobody is walking to a fridge at the back every time a buyer sits down.
Regional and collective pavilions
Many producers, one identity, and a fight to avoid looking like a market stall. We build a shared architecture with individual positions, so each winery has its own counter and name while the pavilion still reads as one region from the aisle.
Spirits and premium brands
Here the product carries a lot of image. We work the lighting on the bottle and build a back bar that shows the range without turning the stand into a shop, with a separate space for the conversations that matter.
Importers, distributors and services
Your show is a schedule of meetings. We prioritise seated tasting positions over display, with enough separation that two buyers at adjacent tables are not sharing a conversation.
One stand, several harvests
ProWein is annual and your label changes far less often than your vintage. We build modular, reusable structures: counter, back bar, cold storage and walls return to the workshop, are cleaned and refinished, and come back the following March. The graphics change, the investment does not repeat.
Frequently asked questions about ProWein stands
What wineries, importers and spirits brands ask us before committing to space in Duesseldorf.
When does ProWein 2027 take place?
ProWein 2027 runs from 7 to 9 March 2027 at Messe Duesseldorf. It is an annual, trade-only fair, so there is no public day to plan for.
Can you build in cold storage for the bottles?
Yes, and it should be under the counter rather than at the back. We integrate refrigeration into the joinery and size it for how much you actually pour per day, which is almost always more than the first estimate.
What about glass washing and used glasses?
It is the detail that ruins most tasting stands. We plan a washing point with water and drainage and a concealed route for dirty glasses, so the counter stays clear without someone constantly carrying trays across the stand.
Can you build a pavilion for a group of wineries?
Yes, it is one of the most common briefs at ProWein. We design a common structure with individual counters, so each producer is identifiable and the collective still looks like a single, deliberate presence rather than a row of tables.
What does your ProWein stand design and build service include?
A turnkey service: design and 3D render, joinery in our own workshop, transport to Duesseldorf, build, dismantling and support during the three days of the fair.
How much storage will we need behind the counter?
More than most people plan for. We calculate it from your pouring estimate and case count, because a stand that runs out of chilled stock at midday on the second day is a design failure, not a logistics accident.
ProWein 2027 takes place at Messe Duesseldorf
ProWein brings the international wine and spirits trade to Messe Duesseldorf from 7 to 9 March 2027. Your stand is made in our Barcelona joinery, assembled once there and installed in Germany by the same crew.
Exhibition stand design and build in Dusseldorf
Messe Duesseldorf runs to precise build and dismantle schedules, and ProWein packs a lot of exhibitors into a short window. Bringing a stand that only needs assembling means our time on site goes into the plumbing, the cold storage and the finishing, which is where a tasting stand is actually won.
Contemporanea Eventi builds your ProWein stand in Dusseldorf
You have the dates and, presumably, the wine. What is left is the furniture around it: cold storage, glass washing, and somewhere a buyer will actually sit down. Tell us how many people you expect to pour for at ProWein 2027 and we will size it properly.
