Brands that trust us
This is not a trade fair, and building for it is a different discipline
The America’s Cup is a sporting event, not an exhibition, and everything about the build follows from that. Structures sit outdoors for weeks rather than days, they face sun, salt and wind off the bay, and the public passing them is a mixed audience rather than a trade visitor. A pavilion designed to fair standards does not survive that, and one designed for weather but not for brand does not earn its place. We come at it as an exhibition stand builder that also builds outdoors: the same joinery and the same crew, with a specification written for weeks of sun and salt instead of four days indoors.
What the 38th America's Cup is and when it takes place
Naples will host the Louis Vuitton 38th America’s Cup in 2027, the first time the competition has been sailed in Italy. Racing runs across spring and summer of 2027, with the Match itself opening on 10 July 2027 and concluding by the weekend of 17 and 18 July, raced off the city waterfront. Around the sailing sits everything that makes the event commercially interesting: team bases, a race village open to the public, sponsor hospitality and brand activations, all running for weeks rather than for the three or four days of a trade fair. That duration is the single fact that changes how these structures have to be built.
Turnkey service for your America’s Cup build
The same team designs, manufactures and installs, and stays reachable through the event. For a structure standing for weeks that continuity is not a convenience: something will need attention, and a build crew that knows the structure is very different from a local contractor meeting it for the first time.
Design
Collaborative briefing, a strategy built around your visitor and a photorealistic 3D render of your space.
Manufacturing
In-house joinery and manufacturing with premium, high-quality and sustainable materials at our Barcelona workshop.
Build & install
Transport and coordination to Naples, on-site build and dismantling by our own crew, and dedicated support throughout the show.
Projects that back every space we build
Twenty years of custom design and construction across Europe, including outdoor and long-duration builds where weather resistance mattered as much as the finish.
What your America’s Cup space needs, depending on why you are there
Four reasons to build something at the America’s Cup, four completely different briefs.
Sponsor hospitality
You are hosting clients for days, not minutes. We build comfortable, weather-tight spaces with real shade, ventilation and a service area, because hospitality that is uncomfortable at two in the afternoon does the opposite of what it was booked for.
Brand activation in the race village
Here you are competing with a regatta for attention. We design for visibility and throughput, with a structure that reads from a distance and a flow that moves a queue without creating a bottleneck.
Team bases and technical areas
Function first, entirely. We build working spaces with controlled access, storage and the separation between technical and public areas that a competing team needs.
Corporate and institutional pavilions
You are representing a company or a region over several weeks. We design for durability and low maintenance, with materials chosen to look as good in the final week as in the first.
Weeks outdoors is a different specification
A structure that stands for a month by the sea is not a trade fair stand with a roof on it. We specify materials and fixings for sun, salt and wind, design for drainage, and plan the maintenance access from the start, because the difference between a build that looks good in week one and one that still looks good in week four is decided long before it is installed.
Frequently asked questions about America’s Cup builds
What sponsors, teams and institutions ask us before committing to a build in Naples.
When does the 38th America's Cup take place?
The Louis Vuitton 38th America’s Cup is hosted by Naples across spring and summer 2027. The Match opens with two races on 10 July 2027 and concludes by the weekend of 17 and 18 July. It is the first time the competition has been sailed in Italy.
Is this the same as building a trade fair stand?
No, and treating it as one is the usual mistake. These are outdoor structures standing for weeks, exposed to sun and salt, with public access. The specification, the materials and the permits are closer to a small construction project than to an exhibition build. If you already work with us on exhibition stand design for trade fairs, expect a longer lead time and a different material specification here.
Can you build hospitality that works in July heat?
That is the central design problem. We plan shade, cross ventilation and cooling as structure rather than as equipment added afterwards, because hospitality nobody wants to sit in during the afternoon has failed regardless of how it looks.
Who handles permits and ground conditions?
We take it on as part of the project. Ground fixing, drainage and the local authorisations are resolved before fabrication, since a waterfront site imposes conditions that a hall never does.
What does your America’s Cup build service include?
A turnkey service: design and 3D render, manufacturing in our own workshop, transport to Naples, installation, maintenance access through the event and dismantling once the racing is over.
Can the structure be reused afterwards?
Where the brief allows, yes. We build in modular, demountable elements so a hospitality structure can be stored and reconfigured for other events, which for a build of this scale is worth planning from the beginning.
The 38th America’s Cup takes place in Naples in 2027
The Louis Vuitton 38th America’s Cup is raced off Naples across spring and summer 2027, with the Match from 10 July. We manufacture in our Barcelona workshop and install in Italy with our own crew, and we stay available through the event.
Design and build for events across Europe
A waterfront site in Naples in July is a demanding place to build: heat, salt air and public access at all hours. We treat it as a construction project rather than a stand, with the permits, the ground conditions and the maintenance plan resolved before anything is fabricated.
Contemporanea Eventi builds your America’s Cup space in Naples
If you are planning a presence around the 2027 America’s Cup, the useful first conversation is about how long the structure has to stand and who has to be comfortable inside it. Tell us that and we will come back with something built for the duration.
