Stand construction rules for MWC according to the GSMA manual
The MWC27 exhibitor manual is public and specific. These are the four figures that shape a project most, with every rule linked to its source below.

How we design and build your MWC stand ahead of build-up
An MWC stand is decided months before the halls open, because plans, rigging and power all have deadlines. These are the four decisions of the first plan.
The plan arrives on time
If you book space only, someone approves your plans. We close the design early, before the GSMA deadline.
A stand that is not a box
The 50% rule forbids closing your plot with walls. Glass, low walls and open fronts.
Height is requested
Two floors only fit where the plot allows it, and cost a structural approval.
Rigging and power, early
They have a deadline and a surcharge. We settle them in the project.

What drives the budget of an exhibition stand at MWC Barcelona
We do not give figures without seeing your plot: the cost of a stand depends on the metres, the plot type and what you show. At MWC these six factors weigh most.
Second floor
The upper deck and its structural approval add cost, on top of the safety plan for working at height.
Rigging
Hanging elements goes through the official supplier and has a deadline. Ordering late carries a surcharge.
Additional power
Beyond what each service chest gives, a special connection is needed and quoted separately.
Heavy equipment
Floor loading varies widely between halls and can force a reinforced structure.
Documented materials
Plans must list the materials and the documents that back them, which rules out improvised solutions.
Closed rooms
Every private room adds structure, insulation and a door with a vision panel, as the manual requires.

1-4 March 2027 at Fira Gran Via (Avinguda Joan Carles I, 64, L’Hospitalet), according to the official Mobile World Congress website.
If I book space only, who approves my stand?
Abraxys, the official inspection agency. 1:50 plans, a risk assessment and a method statement before 23 November 2026. It helps to fix the size of the stand you need first.
Can I close my stand with walls?
Not entirely: at most 50% of each open side may be a solid wall. The upper deck can be enclosed. Hall 2 follows a different rule.
What is the maximum height?
6 m in most halls and 5 m in Halls 8.0 and 8.1, per your plot’s technical plan, with no branding above 6 m.
How much does a stand for MWC cost?

Can I build a two-storey stand?
Only on plots with a permitted height of 5 m or more, with structural approval at a cost and capacity reviewed for each stand.
Stand build and dismantle at Fira Gran Via
Fira Gran Via is in L'Hospitalet, next to Barcelona. We build in our workshop and install and dismantle ourselves, within the organisers' hours.
