IFEMA rules worth applying to the free-design stand at HIP until its guide is out
We could not yet consult the HIP 2027 guide, so these are the rules of the MATELEC 2026 guide and the SICUR 2026 guide. They will be confirmed with HIP’s.

In IFEMA’s 2026 guides the project must be approved one month before build-up, so we decide early how people cook, serve and move inside the stand.

On 1-3 March 2027 at IFEMA Madrid, with the Hospitality 4.0 Congress and its 30+ specialised summits.
What is HIP?
The Horeca Professional Expo, the professional innovation event for the Horeca channel, with five sections to exhibit in, from design to kitchens and digitalisation.
How much does a HIP stand cost?
It depends on the plot, the kitchen on view and the service you want to offer, so we give no figure without the plan. To orient yourself on the items, see how to calculate a trade show stand budget.
Can I cook or serve product on the stand?
Yes, with power, water and extraction planned from the drawing and the authorisations the organiser asks for. We settle it in the design, before building.
Can I build a two-floor stand?
Yes, up to 7 m in halls, with the upper floor set back 1 m. Not in the connection areas or on the sides of Halls 9 and 10.
Can I close my stand with walls?
Up to 50% of each aisle frontage. To close more, set it back 3 m and do not exceed 80% of the frontage.
Installing your HIP stand at IFEMA Madrid
We take the finished stand from Barcelona to IFEMA Madrid. We install and dismantle it ourselves, within IFEMA's hours.
