Why choose us as your exhibition stand company in Amsterdam?

Unlike the fairgrounds built on the edge of most European cities, RAI Amsterdam sits inside the Zuidas business district, which makes access tighter and delivery windows shorter. As exhibition stand builders we plan the route into the hall before we plan the hall itself. The stand is manufactured in our Barcelona workshop and arrives in the Netherlands already assembled once, so unloading and installing is all that is left to do on site.

In-house manufacturing and stand construction for trade shows in Amsterdam

Amsterdam fills its calendar with fairs that put working equipment on the floor, from water treatment systems at Aquatech to broadcast hardware at IBC. That kind of exhibition stand is an engineering job before it is a graphic one, so architects and structural engineers sign off the drawing together, and the build happens in our own carpentry workshop rather than through a subcontractor.

Stand installation at RAI Amsterdam with crews who know the venue

RAI Amsterdam runs 12 halls and around 116,200 square metres of exhibition space at Europaplein 24, with its own railway station and underground parking for more than 4,000 cars. As stand builders working an inner-city venue, our crews book the loading slot and the lift access around your hall assignment before anything is loaded onto the truck in Barcelona.

Beyond the organiser modular booth

Around 70 trade shows pass through the RAI every year, and the rented shell scheme looks the same at all of them: frame, fascia, a table, two chairs. If your competitor is renting the identical package eight metres away, nothing about the space tells a visitor why they should stop at yours instead. That is the whole argument for hiring an independent stand builder instead of ticking the rental box.

We build each Amsterdam exhibition booth around one specific job: getting a technical buyer to stay long enough for a real conversation. Where the product is a machine or a system, that usually means designing the stand around a working demonstration instead of a display case.

Exhibition stand design and build with a turnkey 360º service

Design, manufacturing, transport and installation stay with one exhibition stand builder from the first meeting to the last screw. Nothing is handed to a local subcontractor in the Netherlands who has never seen the drawing, which is where most surprises on a foreign build come from.

Strategic 3D design of your exhibition stand in Amsterdam

As an exhibition stand design company in Amsterdam, we begin with the visitor you are trying to reach at that particular RAI hall and work backwards: where they enter, what stops them, and where the conversation actually happens once they are inside.

02

Exhibition stand manufacturing for Amsterdam in our own workshop

Exclusive furniture, state-of-the-art lighting, large-format graphic printing. The render you sign off on is what your team finds on the RAI Amsterdam floor.

03

Installation and dismantling at RAI Amsterdam

Our stand builders for trade shows in Amsterdam work to the loading windows an inner-city venue imposes, install to the organiser’s technical rules, and clear the space on time when the show closes.

Exhibition stands in Amsterdam for the most demanding trade fairs

The RAI hosts very different industries in the same halls across the year, and each brings its own technical rules. Whether it is a custom exhibition stand or an event booth, we arrive knowing what your sector expects of it.

TECHNOLOGY TRADE FAIRS

IBC

The broadcast and media technology convention, where stands double as demonstration suites for equipment that has to be seen running.

Money20/20 Europe

The fintech event, where the stand is judged on whether senior executives will sit down in it rather than walk past.

Critical Communications World

Mission-critical communications, with live network demonstrations that need power and connectivity planned from the drawing stage.

INDUSTRIAL TRADE FAIRS

Intertraffic Amsterdam

Traffic and mobility infrastructure, where exhibitors bring road hardware onto the hall floor and the load calculations matter.

Aquatech Amsterdam

Water technology for drinking, waste and process water. Running water on a stand means drainage and sealing designed in, not improvised.

METSTRADE

The marine equipment trade fair, built around components and systems that are usually shown out of the boat they belong to.

ISSA Interclean

Cleaning and facility maintenance technology, with machinery demonstrated in motion across the aisles.

FOOD TRADE FAIRS

Horecava

The hotel and catering industry fair, where a stand normally has to work as a functioning kitchen or bar.

PLMA International

The private label trade show, built around sampling and buyer meetings rather than open display.

World Bulk Wine Exhibition

Bulk wine trading, where tasting areas and controlled temperature drive the layout.

PHARMA & HEALTH

World Vaccine Congress Europe

Vaccine development and manufacturing, with an exhibition floor attached to a heavy conference agenda.

World Orphan Drug Congress Europe

Rare disease therapies and biopharma, where the stand is a meeting room first and a display second.

World Patient Safety Congress Europe

Clinical safety and healthcare quality, with exhibitors competing for attention against a full session programme.

Custom exhibition stands in Amsterdam that make the difference

Two decades of turning bare floor space into exhibition stands that had to hold up under machinery, running water, refrigeration or live demonstrations. A sample of that work, all of it manufactured in our own Barcelona workshop, is below.

What the brands that exhibit with us in Amsterdam say

Nothing below is hand-picked by us. Trustindex publishes the Google reviews as they were written, by clients whose exhibition stand we actually built.

Common questions about exhibition stand construction in Amsterdam

These come up most often when a marketing team is planning its first stand in Amsterdam. Any other question about building at the RAI? Ask us, no obligation.

How far in advance should I order my exhibition stand in Amsterdam?

Four to six months is the comfortable window for a custom build. The RAI runs shows back to back, so the halls turn over quickly and the loading slots for a given week get allocated early. Send us the fair and the dates and we will tell you straight away whether they still work.

Do you handle the paperwork with RAI Amsterdam and the organiser?

We do. Stand plans, build-up and breakdown schedules, electrical and rigging requests and any structural approval the organiser wants go through our team, not yours. Dutch venues are strict about submitting this ahead of arrival, so it is handled early.

Do you build in Amsterdam even though your workshop is in Barcelona?

Yes, and the way it works is worth knowing. We keep no depot in the Netherlands. The stand is built complete and checked in our Barcelona carpentry workshop, then broken down, transported and reassembled at the RAI by our own installers. Because it has already stood once, what happens on site is assembly, not problem-solving.

Modular booth or custom stand for RAI Amsterdam?

Under about 30 square metres, or for a first visit to a fair you are still testing, modular is the sensible spend. Above that, or at a show like IBC or Intertraffic where you are being compared directly with the stand opposite, custom is what changes the number of conversations you have. Send us the brief and we will say which one your objective justifies.

Which fairs in Amsterdam do you build exhibition stands for?

IBC, Intertraffic Amsterdam, Aquatech Amsterdam, METSTRADE, ISSA Interclean, Horecava, PLMA International, Money20/20 Europe and the World Bulk Wine Exhibition, all held at RAI Amsterdam. We also build for corporate events in the city outside the fair calendar.

Let us handle your stand design for your next trade show in Amsterdam

At the RAI you have a few seconds of aisle to earn a technical buyer’s attention. Tell us which fair you are exhibiting at and what you need the stand to do, and one of our designers will come back to you with a proposal built for that hall.
